Panasonic Energy was honored to welcome Kansas Governor Laure Kelly to our De Soto manufacturing facility this summer. Governor Kelly toured our production lines, met with talented apprentices, and even took the all-electric Lucid Gravity for a spin. Her visit gave us a wonderful opportunity to showcase the innovation, craftsmanship, and local talent that power our work every day in Kansas.

Our connection to the community continues to grow. Throughout September, Panasonic Energy proudly participated in a variety of local events, including:
- Hosting 9-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Team Panasonic member Katie Ledecky at USD 232 to promote STEAM education among students and educators.
- Sponsoring and joining the Back2KC panel, highlighting our role as a committed corporate neighbor making generational investments in Kansas.
- Exploring new internship opportunities with University of Nebraska- Lincoln to strengthen the pipeline of emerging talent.
- Celebrating the grand opening of the Astra Enterprise Park Water Treatment Plant featuring new and upgraded infrastructure designed to benefit both the community and our EV battery facility.
- Supporting the USD 232 Annual Convocation to honor local educators and the start of the new school year in Johnson County.
- Participating in the “Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Today” panel, where our very own government and community affairs manager Julie Sailors shared insights on growing a strong, future ready workforce.
